FAQ
Does a short link copy the destination page?
No. A short link is an HTTP redirect. The browser requests Linkora, and Linkora answers with the destination address. The page itself stays on the original site.
Why is the redirect temporary?
Linkora uses a 302 redirect and tells caches not to store it. If you disable or expire a link, browsers are not stuck with an old permanent redirect.
Which URLs can I shorten?
Only http and https. javascript:, data:, file:, and blob: URLs are rejected, as are localhost, private IP addresses, and links that point back at this service.
What counts as a click?
The dashboard headline is human clicks. Known crawlers, empty user agents, command-line clients, and prefetch requests are stored separately and are not included in that number. Linkora does not fingerprint browsers.
Can I change where a short link goes?
No. The destination is fixed when the link is created, so a code that was already shared cannot be switched to a different site. Create a new link instead. Deleting a link does not free the code for someone else.
Do I need an account?
No. Paste a link and copy the short one. Links you create stay with this browser, under Your links, where you can disable or delete them. There is no public sign-in.
How do donations work?
Donations are optional and Bitcoin only. Other coins and cards are not accepted. Sending Bitcoin does not raise a limit or unlock a feature. If no address is published, donations are not open.
How do I delete a link?
Open Your links in the same browser that created it, then delete it. The short code is not given to anyone else. A legal hold can keep records the operator is required to retain.
